We don't always find it easy to describe what we do. This is mainly because our projects and clients are varied. We like it that way.

Among other things, GoddardPayne provides highly focused, practical support for organisations trying to solve real problems through community-based and/or practitioner-based collaboration. We work in partnership at all levels of the system (from strategists to frontline workers to service users) to develop and deliver innovative programmes of work, face-to-face events and learning materials.

We believe passionately that public service organisations can only meet the real needs of their communities if they utilise collaborative tools and methods which give providers and users opportunities to learn together, building their capacity to operate more effectively.

Much of what we do centres on the design and facilitation of new conversations - helping people and organisations connect to share practice and develop solutions together. We come up with new ways to help them do this and then support them to carry out new, often innovative, projects on the ground.

We work simultaneously with policy and decision makers, professionals on the ground and the public (consumers/users) and have the privilege of serving a wide range of organisations including; groups of schools, local authorities, charities, government departments and innovation agencies. Our work takes us into the fields of; powerful approaches to learning, leadership and governance, networks and collaboration, user-centred public service delivery, 3rd sector innovation and stakeholder engagement.

Through ThePublicOffice project, originally owned and conceived by the team within public sector market intelligence experts Kable, and now led by Ruth Kennedy, we co-deliver powerful participative leadership workshops, in which the voice of service users is captured on film and effectively heard – providing participants with a driving motivation for culture change. ThePublicOffice is a transformative leadership experience, designed to model and drive creative collaboration across boundaries, focused on a shared understanding of the needs of service users.

Caireen is a problem-solver, a brilliant organiser and communications specialist.

Caireen is adept at scoping and managing the most complex projects. She works successfully at strategic and operational levels; taking complex and ambitious plans and making them happen by working collaboratively with colleagues and key partners.

Over the past 5 years, she has worked in and with a range of organisations in the public sector to develop practitioner focused strategies for communications and has designed and delivered lots of learning resources and materials for government agencies, schools and local authorities. Caireen works across a broad spectrum of communications roles and activities, from early conceptual work and research through to design management and production. As a writer and editor, she has worked on various magazines, think pieces, reports and practical tools. Caireen studied Journalism, Film and Broadcasting at Cardiff University.

Caireen also has extensive experience of developing and delivering face-to-face learning processes and events that have involved business, the 3rd sector, school practitioners, local authority professionals, senior public servants, young people, teachers and policy-makers.
