The Innovation Exchange is holding two Festivals of Ideas in April and May focusing on independent living and excluded young people. We are supporting them to design the events and help facilitate.

The Innovation Exchange is working to grow innovation from the third sector. It is focused on Next Practice – on solutions to problems we are yet to solve - and is using these events, alongside research and online exchange, to share ideas and intelligence.

The third sector is teeming with potential solutions, but growing innovation is hard. Innovators and commissioners of services too often don’t know each other’s phone numbers and lack the capacity and incentive to work together. The Exchange is tackling this, bringing them together in collaborative innovation around key social challenges.

Following the two Festivals of Ideas in April and May. The work will move into a Next Practice programme, providing the best innovations with support and access to a £200k NESTA Innovation Exchange Fund. This programme will enable evaluation, knowledge-sharing and seek to draw in further resources, helping cutting edge projects to develop and grow.
