21/10/09: Launched today... Learning about Learning: 12 early ideas from the Harris Student Commission

Picture%207.png This publication shares what the commission has been doing over the past year and what it plans to do next. Most importantly, it sets out 12 early ideas about how learning at Harris could be in the future. These are the ideas that have captured the imagination of young people and teachers in the first year and that the commission will investigate further in 2009/10. Download file

Sincere thanks for all of your work on the commission. A great result today behind which was masses of hard work by you both. But not just hard work, really good high quality endeavour.

The publication is excellent also. Such a lot of your effort went into that Caireen but it was really well worth it in terms of product in the end.

Now we need to see if we can make the commission reach the parts other initiatives can only dream about!

Thanks again

Dan

Gene/Caireen,

A somewhat belated congratulations on the inspirational work with Harris Student Commission on Learning about Learning.

The 12 early ideas are compelling and listening to the students at the event re-inforced the power and importance of student led learning, as did the comments from teachers, who's views on learning have so clearly shifted as a result of this work.

Great stuff and look forward to what happens next on this in 2010.

Merry Xmas!

Douglas
