11/12/09: Learning about idea development with NESTA

We are really excited by the work we're doing with the Age Unlimited team at NESTA's Public Services Lab as they seek out projects that will test out new approaches to help people in their fifties and sixties prepare for retirement. As the Lab's Learning Partner, we are looking at the impact of the 'ideation' process being put in place to support the emerging project ideas to be more innovative and robust.

So far we've observed two two-day ideation workshops with projects, run a de-brief workshop with the team and interviewed NESTA and Thinkpublic colleagues. In January we'll run another workshop with the team and produce a paper to help inform the Lab's thinking as it shares what it is learning about the process of ideas development.

We're especially enjoying working with the NESTA team and the bright young things at Thinkpublic who are co-designing and delivering the ideation programme.
