NESTA has created the Lab to meet the need for new ideas that work. By bringing together experience and ingenuity from across the public, private and third sectors, and drawing on the insights of citizens and consumers, the Lab plays a vital role in making public services fit for the 21st century.
The Young Foundation is a centre for social innovation based in London, with a 50 year track record of success in creating new organizations - public, private and non-profit - as well as influencing ideas and policies.
The third sector is teeming with great ideas, but too few of them change the world. Innovators, investors and commissioners often lack each other’s phone numbers and the capacity and incentive to collaborate. As a result, innovations get a start, but struggle for the connections and resources to sustain or scale. Innovation Exchange exists to tackle this problem, bringing people together to grow third sector innovation.

The Innovation Unit promotes innovation to improve education and other public services. It acts as a catalyst for change drawing on talent from both the public and private sectors. A key element of its work is to combine the expertise of those who work in educational institutions, practitioners, with the ambition of those who make policy.
